Thank you for choosing Whaggy Whiskers to care for your dog. Please ensure you have read and understood the terms and conditions before submitting the form.
General terms
By using Whaggy Whiskers services, I confirm that I am satisfied the premises are suitable for the health, comfort and safety of my dog. I confirm that I am the legal owner of the animal or animals listed and that all information provided is true and accurate.
I understand that fees may apply for early drop off, late pick up, cancellations or booking changes. Current fees are available on the Whaggy Whiskers website or by speaking with a staff member.
For daycare services, cancellations made within 24 hours or the night before will incur the applicable cancellation fee. A late collection fee of $30 applies if my dog is collected after the 5:30pm closing time.
For recurring bookings, I understand that no signature is required. I agree to provide notice if cancelling recurring bookings and acknowledge that failure to do so may result in a cancellation fee if cancelled on the day.
I acknowledge that dogs interact physically and that minor injuries such as scratches or small cuts may occur despite supervision. Whaggy Whiskers will not be held responsible for injury, loss or death of my dog on or off the premises at 130 Minnie Street, Southport QLD 4215, unless caused by gross negligence.
In the event of an emergency where I cannot be contacted, I authorise Whaggy Whiskers to seek immediate veterinary care for my dog. All veterinary and associated costs are my responsibility.
I acknowledge that prices may change from time to time and agree to stay informed via in store notices, social media or the website.
I confirm that my dog is in good health and has not shown aggressive or threatening behaviour toward people or other dogs. I accept financial responsibility for any damage or injury caused by my dog. I confirm that I am over 18 years of age.
Grooming terms and conditions
Late pick up fees apply if I collect my dog more than 30 minutes after the notification text is sent. A $20 fee applies after the first 30 minutes. After a further 30 minutes, a daycare fee may be charged.
Grooming appointments cancelled the morning of or the night before will incur the full cancellation fee. Any collection after 5:30pm will also incur the applicable fee.
I acknowledge that grooming can be stressful, particularly for senior or health compromised pets. Grooming may reveal or aggravate underlying medical conditions. Whaggy Whiskers will prioritise my dog’s comfort, health and wellbeing over cosmetic outcomes.
I agree to inform Whaggy Whiskers of any medical, physical, emotional or behavioural conditions, including allergies, sensitivities, prior surgeries, joint issues, skin conditions or infections. I agree to update staff if any new conditions arise.
Whaggy Whiskers is not responsible for injury to elderly or health compromised pets during grooming where all reasonable care has been taken. By proceeding with grooming, I consent to services being provided with this understanding.
Fleas
If fleas are found, a one off flea treatment using Fidos flea shampoo will be applied at a minimum cost of $10. This treatment removes fleas present on the pet only and does not prevent reinfestation once the pet leaves the premises.
Matted coats
Pets with matted coats may require additional grooming time and fees. Light matting may be brushed out for an additional fee depending on the pet’s size and tolerance. If matting is severe or causes discomfort, the coat may need to be clipped short with owner approval.
If short clipping is declined, the groom may be stopped and the pet collected as presented. Whaggy Whiskers is not responsible for issues related to grooming heavily matted coats, including irritation, redness or skin sensitivity.
Accidents
While rare, accidents can occur during grooming, including cuts, nicks, scratches or nail quicking. Any incident will be communicated to the owner.
If veterinary care is required, Whaggy Whiskers may transport the pet to the nominated veterinarian. All veterinary costs resulting from matting, age, behaviour or pre existing conditions are the responsibility of the owner.
If a groom is considered unsafe, it will be stopped immediately and the owner notified.
Muzzles
Muzzling may be used where necessary to protect the pet and staff. Whaggy Whiskers reserves the right to stop grooming at any time if a pet poses a safety risk. A service fee may still apply based on work completed. Pets are never sedated.
Aggressive or dangerous behaviour
Owners must disclose any history of biting, aggression or behavioural concerns. Failure to disclose may result in liability for medical costs, workers compensation or property damage.
Whaggy Whiskers reserves the right to refuse or stop services at any time. Extremely aggressive dogs will not be groomed. Bites may be reported to local authorities where required.
Late collection
Pets must be collected within 30 minutes of notification that grooming is complete. A $20 fee applies after 30 minutes. Pets will not be mixed with daycare dogs unless agreed at drop off.
Satisfaction
Any concerns or adjustments must be discussed at pick up. Adjustments may be accepted within 24 to 48 hours. Requests outside this timeframe may incur a grooming fee.
