Whaggy Whiskers offers an intimate doggy daycare on the Gold Coast where dogs can play, rest and socialise in a safe and supervised environment. Our daycare is designed to feel calm and welcoming, helping dogs build confidence, friendships and good social habits.
Many of our daycare dogs treat Whaggy Whiskers like their second home, which is exactly how we want it to feel.
Daycare location and hours
Whaggy Whiskers is located at Unit 1, 130 Minnie Street, Southport.
Our daycare hours are:
Monday to Friday: 7:00am to 5:30pm
Saturdays: by appointments only
Dogs can be dropped off between 7:00am and 9:30am and collected between 3:30pm and 5:30pm.
*To ensure the best fit for your pup, all first time visitors complete a 2-hour trial before joining our daycare.
Socialisation done the right way
We mix both big and small dogs together to help build healthy socialisation skills and reduce fear around different breeds and sizes. Dogs learn boundaries, sharing and communication through positive interactions.
Our experienced team specialises in dog behaviour management, so you can feel confident your dog is in safe and capable hands. If you’re not comfortable with your dog being mixed with others, please let us know at the time of booking.
We accept all dogs on a case by case basis and believe in open, honest communication with owners to ensure the best experience for everyone.
Inside our daycare space
Our daycare is fully air conditioned and stocked with quality toys, comfy beds and healthy treats. Water bowls are constantly checked, cleaned and topped up throughout the day.
We keep harsh chemicals to a minimum and use natural, dog friendly products wherever possible.
Dogs are taken outside every two hours for sniff and toilet breaks. We also offer adventure daycare every second Monday and optional off field outings as add ons.

Our doggy daycare is flexible and designed to suit different dogs, routines and energy levels. Whether your pup is staying for a full day of play or just popping in for a short visit, we have options to match.
Daycare pricing starts from:

Doggy daycare packages
For regular attendees, we offer weekly daycare packages that suit different schedules and activity levels. These are ideal for dogs who benefit from routine, socialisation and consistency.

Three day per week
Four day per week
Five day per week
Packages are used within the same week of purchase. Availability is limited.
Bulk Daycare Passes
Bulk daycare passes are available for added flexibility and savings.
10 day pass – $500
(valid for 90 days)20 day pass – $1000

Frequently asked questions
Does my dog need to be desexed?
Dogs do not need to be desexed to attend daycare. However, females in heat are not accepted. If your dog is an excessive marker, we may use belly bands to help manage this during the day.
Does my dog need yearly vaccinations?
Dogs must have completed their first three puppy vaccinations. We may request titre testing every two to three years to ensure adequate immunity. Most local vets can provide more information on titre testing if needed.
Do you accept all breeds and sizes?
Yes. We welcome all breeds and sizes and assess each dog on a case by case basis. Honest communication between owners and staff helps us create the best and safest experience for everyone.
What age can my dog start daycare?
Dogs can start daycare from as young as 10 weeks old. Early socialisation is incredibly important and helps puppies learn confidence, boundaries and positive behaviours. Puppies also receive gentle guidance throughout the day.
Do you use crates or rest areas?
Yes. Chill out zones and crates are used regularly to help dogs rest and feel secure. We focus on creating positive associations with crates, as they are commonly used in environments such as vet clinics, grooming salons and travel.
Do you have an outdoor area?
We do not have a free access outdoor yard. However, dogs are taken out regularly for toilet and sniff breaks. We also offer outdoor outings as an add on and adventure style daycare services on select days.
